The article presents a speech by Judge Monroe G. McKay, of the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals at the annual Law Day luncheon themed "The Legacy of John Adams, from Boston to Guantanamo," held in Utah on April 29, 2011 in which he discussed the legacy of former U.S. President John Adams and the case of British soldiers, about Lieutenant Colonel Darrel Vaneveld, prosecutor at Guantanamo Bay, and lawyers of courage.
