ABSTRACT
The article presents a speech by U.S. President Barack Obama delivered during the first anniversary of the signing of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 in the South Court Auditorium at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Executive Office Building in Washington, D.C. on February 17, 2010, in which he discussed the backdrop against which he signed the act, the role of businesses as engines of economic growth, and the aim of the act to rebuild the economy on a stronger foundation for growth.
