ABSTRACT
An encyclopedia entry for the republic of Senegal is presented. Senegal is located in Western Africa. Its climate is tropical and its natural resources include fish and iron ore. The estimated population of Senegal in July 2006 was 11,987,121. As of April 21, 2004, the head of government was Prime Minister Macky Sall.
