ABSTRACT
The article focuses on several alternative energy sources. Several alternative energy sources are now in use to lessen global warming induced by carbon dioxide from fossil fuels. Water power uses efficient turbines. However, this energy source interferes with the natural ecology of rivers. There is also the nuclear power, which, however, creates problems with waste disposal and radioactive contamination. Wind power is also in use which uses wind turbines. Solar energy is another alternative that has increased in usage over the years. Sun power is gathered either by heating water in tubes mounted in special panels in the roof or the use of photovoltaic cell. There is also the geothermal power which taps the interior heat of Earth to produce steam or expand compounds.
