ABSTRACT
Information about the 121st Iowa Bankers Association convention which was held on September 17-18, 2007 in Des Moines, Iowa is presented. Topics include the status of ethanol bubble, the financial crisis in ethanol in 2008 and the new demand for corn created by the ethanol plants. Meanwhile, the symposium featured several speakers including economist Michael Swanson, former Congressman James Leach and consultant Ken Schmidt.
