ABSTRACT
The article reports that on March 17, 2005 the Middle East Institute in Washington D.C. hosted Geoffrey Aronson, director of research and publications for the Foundation for Middle East Peace, for a discussion on Israel's proposed redeployment from the Gaza Strip. Aronson, who had just returned from a visit to Israel and the occupied territories, also serves as a consultant to World Bank disengagement efforts. He spoke the day after the U.S. President George W. Bush's nomination of Paul Wolfowitz, the neocon deputy secretary of defense, as president of the World Bank.
