ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the U.S. Speech Communication Association (SCA) Convention to be held from December 27 to 30, 1972 at the Shamrock Hilton Hotel in Houston, Texas. Members who are planning to attend are asked to submit pre-registration forms. Attendees are also encouraged to make hotel and transportation reservations early. Registration for the convention begins at 8:30 a.m. on December 27, and from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. on December 26. Convention fee is $15. For full-time students, the fee is $7.50 and $20 for non-members. Short courses begin at 9:30 a.m. on December 27. Action Caucus begins at 2:20 p.m. on December 28. Division and Dimension programs is from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on December 28, 29 and 30. The schedule of SCA meetings on December 27 are as follows: the Legislative Council will meet at 9:30 a.m., the Editorial Boards at 7:00 p.m. and other board and committee meetings. Division meetings will be held for the Community College Instruction, Forensics, Instructional Development, Interpersonal and Small Group Interactions, Interpretation, Mass Communication, Public Address, Rhetorical and Communication Theory, Speech Sciences and Theater. Exhibit opens on December 27 at 1:00 p.m. Meetings to be conducted will be participated by various organizations, including the American Forensic Association, the Association for Communication Administration, National University Extension Association Committee on Discussion and Debate, the Phi Rho Pi, and the Religious Speech Communication Association. Co-chairpersons of the local arrangements committee are Anne Mitchell of Sam Houston University and Jean Phillips of the University of Houston.
