ABSTRACT
The author states that the U.S. financial crisis of 2008 has not resulted in any punishment for banks, financial institutions or their executives. He claims that despite the financial collapse, banks can still expect bailout assistance from the U.S. government should there be another crisis. He asserts that lessons were not learned from the 2008 crisis, given that banks are still taking huge risks and are accumulating debt, while expecting the government to bail them out.
