ABSTRACT
The author offers insights on the alarmist coverage of efforts to contain radioactive contamination at the Fukushima Daiichi power station in Japan. According to the author, the coverage of the efforts is the least serious consequence of the earthquake that occurred in 2011 compared to the scale of the tsunami tragedy triggered by the earthquake. He argues that the tsunami caused massive loss of life and damage to towns, while the number attributable to Fukushima is zero.
