ABSTRACT
The author discusses British Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg's statement of support for Israel while hosting Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in London, England on January 16, 2012. According to the author, Clegg's pro-Israeli statements pale in comparison to Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich's views on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Gingrich has accused the administration of Barack Obama of actively and materially harming Israel.
