ABSTRACT
The author offers his opinion on adding an online shopping cart to a web site particularly for small businesses. He differentiates online shopping cart and e-commerce strategy wherein the latter considers how online sales affect all areas of the business. He discusses how putting a buy function to a web site can be counterproductive and stresses the importance of maintaining the value that a company offers.
