ABSTRACT
The author offers opinions on Google+, the online social network created by Internet industry firm Google Inc. It is argued that the network does not pose a financial threat to Facebook Inc., operators of the online social network of the same name, for reasons including reluctance of consumers to change to a new network, a corresponding reluctance to become involved with an unfamiliar product and difficulties in marketing Internet advertising linked to the new network.
