ABSTRACT
In this article the author discusses his view of the need for U.S. President Barack Obama to reevaluate American policy in the Middle East. The author opines that Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad and President Mahmoud Abbas are more amenable to a peace process than any Palestinian leaders in history. He notes that the Palestinians have successfully fulfilled most of their obligations under the Mideast road-map for peace and are focusing on rebuilding the economy in the West Bank.
