ABSTRACT
In this article the author discusses the problem of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and developing alternate energy sources for industrialized countries. He argues that although industrialized countries can finance emission cutting projects in developing countries through the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), ultimately they will have to develop their own solutions. He comments that alternate energy sources are not as expensive as commonly assumed.
