ABSTRACT
This opinion piece discusses the problems associated with the Great Britain governmental document titled "A Vision for Science and Society." While there needs to be a focus on choices made by government and society between available technologies, this report fails to recognize the distinction between science and technology. This is an important distinction in a time of climate change, biofuels and genetic engineering.
