ABSTRACT
An interview with Muriel Visser, an international expert in distance education and curriculum design, is presented. When asked about her outlook for distance education in Africa by 2015, Visser points out that several countries lack the resources to make a substantial investment in distance education. She cites some of the constraints facing the integration of human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immune disease syndrome (HIV/AIDS) education into the curriculum.
