ABSTRACT
An interview with David Howell Petraeus, commander of the U.S. Central Command, is presented. When asked about the success of counter insurgency operations in Iraq, he states that the success was the result of the efforts of his team and contributors. Petraeus stresses that adaptability, speed and responsiveness are the qualities needed in army leaders and troopers. He mentions that the contingency contracting officers has played major roles in its acquisition community and counterinsurgencies.
