ABSTRACT
An essay is presented on the author's days with baronet Roger de Coverley during his stay in the latter's house in England. The author shares the moments when he and de Coverley met a troop of gypsies when they were riding out in the fields one time. He also offers his views on the historical remark on the said idle profligate people who had tried to infest all the countries of Europe and live in the midst of the type of government.
