ABSTRACT
An essay is presented on the author's days with baronet Roger de Coverley during his stay in the latter's house in England. The author shares the moments when de Coverley deserved to receive a suitable tribute of his universal benevolence to mankind in the return of affection and good will which are paid to him by every one that lives within his neighborhood. He mentions the time when de Coverley sat before the court on an issue about a friend's problem for fishing in a part that is prohibited.
