Hotchner, John M.
November 2011
U.S. Stamp News;Nov2011, Vol. 17 Issue 11, p10
The author offers suggestions on U.S. stamp collection methods and a list of stamps to collect. He cites collecting a single stamp from the Presidential set of 1938 or a recent set, noting that most will not be expensive since they are not considered to be classics. Suggested items include perfect mint and used copy of the basic stamp, production mistakes such as error, freak and oddity types with a list provided at www.efocc.org, and first day programs and other first day ceremony souvenirs.
