ABSTRACT
The author offers his opinion about the interest on semantics in the U.S. as of 1938. He argues that the book "The Economy of Abundance," by Stuart Chase focuses on technocracy. He notes that semantics will not resolve all the problems in the country. He emphasizes the country's need for leaders who possess moral courage and unselfish love of country rather than those who could express meaningful but insincere words.
