ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the emergence of sovereign funds as an investment vehicle. According to the author, the primary concern of Western politicians and media critics of sovereign wealth funds is that foreign-controlled funds will target strategic assets for political reasons. The author asserts that so far, there is no evidence that sovereign funds are arms of foreign policy.
