ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the solutions to the world food crisis. He stresses that columnist Paul Krugman emphasizes that failure of the government and private grain dealers to maintain large inventories is one of the reasons for the food shortage. The author believes that an epic drought in Australia should not be blamed for global warming. He thinks that the food shortage can be solved if more food will be produced to feed the middle classes in China and India.
