ABSTRACT
The article presents the author's comments on U.S. senator John McCain's views on modern conservatism and the response he got on the speech he delivered in the Conservative Political Action Conference. The author says that McCain was booed while he was trying to establish that he was a conservative. McCain, it is stated that, is an antirevolutionary, not a counterrevolutionary. To movement conservatives, McCain represented heresy.
