ABSTRACT
The author stresses the need for measures to reduce carbon emissions. He notes that the European Union intends to ban the current light bulb being sold within two or three years and all new bulbs will have to be the low energy type in an effort to reduce global warming. Also noted is that there will be growing demands for tougher regulations to address the issue of carbon emissions. According to him, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders is taking steps to prevent the climate change.
