ABSTRACT
The author discusses issues related to the implications of stem-cell research and cloning for the medical field in the U.S. According to the author, cloning is redundant because research on using embryonic stem cells to develop treatments has encountered problems where adult stem-cell research is proving to have more potential. The author questions why scientists still continue cloning when it violates the humanity and the most basic ethical prohibitions to create an embryo.
