ABSTRACT
The article presents the viewpoint of the author that executive stock options, based on the theory that executives who share in the profits of a company will work hard to increase its value, often work against the interests of shareholders. Executives, unlike shareholders, do not suffer from a decline in the company's stock price, but do enjoy the successes. Interests of executives are often more short-term than those of the stockholders.
