The author commends the U.S. broadcast network ABC for being an innovator and a risk taker. He mentions that viewers will soon be able to stream episodes of television programs "Lost" and "Desperate Housewives" on their computers for free. He advises affiliates of the network to redouble their efforts to become the best local broadcasters by exhibiting a sense of forward thinking. He states that from the standpoint of the network, working with affiliates to arrange some equitable arrangement for repurposing shows seems prudent.
