ABSTRACT
The article presents information on safety education related to health research in the U.S. Since the inception of the journal "Health Education Research--Theory And Practice" only 5 articles addresses the issues related to drinking, driving and car safety. According to the National Safety Council approximately out of 94000 fatal accidents previous year in the U.S. only 48000 accidents were attributed to motor vehicles and approximately 4800 people were died due to fire in the home. Health education researchers have showed little interest in tackling the accident issue as a human problem.
