This article informs that the recent $305,000 grant to the Los Angeles Gay Community Center awarded by the Los Angeles City Council in an 8 to 5 vote is yet another indication of the significant progress the Los Angeles gay community has made in developing and exercising political power. A successful preview at Bullshot's in Los Angeles attracted hundred to this premier benefit. Proceeds of the event went to the National Gay Task Force and the local Gay Community Services Center. Proceeds from the events will go to the National Gay Task Force, the Gay Rights National Lobby Inc., and various other organization and gay charities.
