Country Report
This section presents the political, economic and key sector outlook for West Caribbean countries, from 2007 to 2008. It states that improved social spending has been a priority of Bahamas Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham. The Belize gross domestic product (GDP) projection for 2007 has been revised to 2.0 percent and 2.8 percent for 2008. Locally based shipping companies, such as Nordic American, have been doing well in Bermuda.
