ABSTRACT
The article presents data and forecasts on the economy in Ecuador in 2007. The country's external sector is seen to remain relatively weak during the period on the back of strong import growth combined with weak-than-anticipated export numbers. Trade surplus is expected to be coming in at U.S.$850 million. A chart that lists the country's economic indicators is also presented.
