ABSTRACT
The article presents the political and economic risks in South Africa for 2007. The role South Africa as United Nation's Security Council forced the South African government to lead an international response to the deteriorating security and political situation. On the other hand, the biggest risk to the economy remains its external imbalances, which is likely to stock inflationary pressure, given the high correlation between consumer price index and the exchange rate.
