ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the geographical condition of Lithuania. The country is the largest and most populous of the Baltic states, and is situated on the eastern shore of the Baltic Sea, in northeastern Europe. Its boundary to the north is Latvia, Belarus to the southeast, Poland to the southwest, and Kaliningrad, a territory of Russia, to the west. The country has 60 miles of sandy coastline, of which only 24 miles face the open Baltic Sea.
