ABSTRACT
The article describes the case of a 48-year old returning traveller with incidental non-functional ectopic thyroid and discusses the limitations of thyroid scintigraphy and utility of endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration in the clinical investigation of mediastinal tumors.
