ABSTRACT
The article presents information about the book "Medicinal Plants in Folk Tradition: An Ethnobotany of Britain and Ireland," by David E. Allen and Gabriel Hatfield. The book is the first comprehensive account of the medicinal uses of indigenous plants as chronicled in folk tradition. The result of over 16 years of work, it has clearly been extensively researched. Nearly 300 published and unpublished works were trawled through in producing this record of over 400 plant species. The result is the creation of a definitive text on the subject.
