This chapter suggests how U.S. citizens can fight the fast food-habit. Having fast food as a part of a healthy lifestyle means giving up almost all restaurant fast food and taking the time to seek out products that have no trans fats, are low in simple carbohydrates and saturated fats, and are high in fiber and nutrients. One U.S. citizen cannot take on the issue of the U.S. obesity crisis alone, but by making some changes in his or her own life, adopting healthier exercise and eating habits, and refusing to give his or her money to the manufacturers of unhealthy foods, he or she can fight the fast-food habit.
