Chapter XXVII of the book "Jane Eyre," by Charlotte Bronte is presented. It discusses Jane's profound sorrow for the sudden cancellation of her wedding with Mr. Rochester, who already has a wife that he keeps imprisoned in the attic of his house. It presents the confrontation of Jane and Mr. Rochester, in which Mr. Rochester asserted his love for Jane and asked her to accompany him to France. It highlights the resolute decision of Jane to refuse Mr. Rochester's offer and eventually leave him.
