ABSTRACT
Chapter III of the book "Jane Eyre," by Charlotte Bronte is presented. Jane woke up realizing that the nursemaid Bessie and Mr. Lloyd, the apothecary were looking after her. Before leaving, Lloyd instructed Bessie to see to it that Jane stays well-rested for the night. Bessie meanwhile sang Jane a song to comfort her. On Lloyd's next visit, Jane told him what she saw in the red room but the doctor would not believe her. Lloyd spoke to Mrs. Reed and persuaded her to send Jane to school.
