ABSTRACT
Chapter 2 of the book "Communication & Global Society" is presented. It explores the dialectics of globalization and localization and examines the implications of a unified world culture resulting from globalization, homogenization and heteroginization of local cultures. It also focuses on the dialectical process of cultural integration and disintegration. The effects of an emerging transnational cculture, global culture and a third culture are also examined.
