ABSTRACT
The article presents a report from U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) with respect to the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) logistics. Topics discussed include efforts of DoD to improve container management in the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) since early years of operations in Afghanistan and Iraq and the steps taken by DoD to manage and reduce shipping container fees since 2012 and DoD's incomplete and inaccurate data on the location and number of containers accruing detention fees.
