The article announces the completion of the Association of College & Research Libraries' (ACRL) new Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education. It discusses the changes since ACRL adopted the Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education in 2000 including he nature of higher education and the responsibility of academic institutions, approaches to learning, and advances in information technology (IT).
