ABSTRACT
Convergence technology is playing an increasingly central role in market and industry. This trend has been shown in the information technology and electronics, and recently, it is actively done in green technology area. In this study, we will analyze convergence of green technology renewable energy source using patent information in renewable energy field such as solar cell, fuel cell, hydrogen storage and manufacture technology among green technology areas. For the purpose of this study, convergence index on IPC was analyzed using Jini Index and Rao-Stirling. In the result of analysis on betweenness centrality of links between IPCs in IPC network structure in renewable energy source filed, betweenness centrality was found to be high in IPC and links mainly shown between different energy sources. Especially in case of bioenergy, it shows high connection between the production and storage of hydrogen and fuel cell, and also shows connections with solar cell. The connection between bioenergy and production and storage technology or hydrogen, and fuel cell is that there is a research in progress for the raw material used in bioenergy is wastewater treated to produce hydrogen, and to eventually develop it into hydrogen fuel cell. As for solar cell and bioenergy, the organic compounds used in bioenergy may be used as the material for organic solar cell.
