ABSTRACT
The article discusses the need to incorporate Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender health care in medical education, which will enable physicians to provide quality health care and meet their obligation under the Affordable Care Act to promote equality in health care delivery. Topics discussed include the benefits of increased medical student exposure to LGBT patients to address social stigma, the advantages offered by problem-based learning and the unique issues in transgender care.
