ABSTRACT
The article presents information relating to the United Nations (UN) Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). Topics discussed include the UN Security Council president's statement on international peace and security at the council's November 19, 2012 meeting, nominated conciliators, arbitrators and experts under UNCLOS Annexes, and navigation experts maintained by the International Maritime Organization. Also presented are cases heard by the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea.
