ABSTRACT
Luckily for all of us, the war with Iraq did not put the entire country on a war footing. But it clearly put the press on such a footing. Every media outlet literally provided more war coverage than you could digest and then repeated it often. I was asked by the Chicago-Kent College of Law, the law school of the Illinois Institute of Technology, to evaluate the coverage. The author reported that each piece of journalism was really pretty good, but we got too many pieces and not enough of the whole.
