ABSTRACT
The article reports on a Transnistria-type scenario in Ukraine's Donbas that could become a major conflict in 2014. Ukraine's Donetsk and Luhansk provinces had a pre-conflict population of 6.8 million as of 2012. The two provinces hold massive labor force that Russia might use in the event of a Transnistria-type, frozen-conflict situation persisting in Donbas.
