ABSTRACT
This article focuses on the announcement by Fatou Bensouda, the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court (ICC), on the re-opening of a preliminary examination by the ICC into international crimes allegedly committed by British armed forces in Iraq. It discusses the criminal complaint on British forces in Iraq filed by the European Centre for Constitutional and Human Rights, and the reaction from British politicians and military brass to the investigation by the ICC.
