First-time homebuyers in July made up the highest share of home purchases in 4 years, according to Campbell/Inside Mortgage Finance's HousingPulse Tracking Survey. July's share, 37.2%, compared with an all-time survey high of 45.1% in Dec. '09. The 1st-time buyer share has increased for 5 straight months as the investor share declined to 16.1% in July.
