ABSTRACT
The article presents the five-year Engagement Plan between the European Union (EU) and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan as of March 2, 2012. The plan aims to build a strategic relationship through a partnership for peace and development. The EU-Pakistan engagement will be based on the principles of the United Nations (UN) Charter. The plan has several elements which include strategic/political, security, and democracy, governance, human rights and socio-economic development.
